Variety Description:

This riparian system is a seasonally flooded shrubland and woodland found throughout the northern Rocky Mountain region. It occurs at lower montane elevations in valleys and foothills on alluvial terraces, streambanks, and floodplains along moderate to high gradient streams and rivers.
